Terms of Service
Draft — written to describe how this app actually works, not reviewed by a lawyer.
What this is
Sprout is a family chore-tracking companion. A parent sets up chores and rewards; a child completes chores and earns points, optionally verified by AI photo review. There is no account system — data lives in your own browser.
AI review is an estimate, not a guarantee
Photo verification uses Google's Gemini AI to judge whether a photo matches a chore's checklist. AI judgment can be wrong in either direction — it may approve an incomplete chore or reject a completed one. A parent can always review and override any result manually.
The parent PIN is a household convenience, not account security
The 4-digit PIN that gates "Parent Mode" is meant to stop a child from casually switching modes on a shared family device — it is not a real authentication system and should not be relied on to protect sensitive information from a technically capable person with access to the device.
Acceptable use
This app is meant for household, non-commercial use by a family. Don't use it to process photos or data belonging to people outside your own household without their knowledge and consent.
No warranty
This app is provided "as is," without guarantees of uptime, accuracy of AI results, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Changes
Because this app is actively maintained, these terms and the privacy policy can change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
